more than a fleeting thought or feeling born from the never-ending stream of visual experience bombarding our everday world. Some have taken this "first thought, best thought"approach and tapped a creative gold mine. On the other hand, a more studied approach to our subjects can often provide an endless stream of inspiration, as we recognize the visual evidence of our emerging knowledge of places and things. Even better, from our familiarity, springs imagination as we visualize life in the past or future what we have come to know of the present.
