Critique Sites

PhotoBlink A competitve photo critique site and a dynamic community of photo enthusiasts of all levels. PB's competitive aspect is the thing that really makes it unique IMO. There are no prizes other than the satisfaction of winning but the ability for registered members to vote anonymously on others' submissions results in a more immediate feedback on any given photo.

Photo Critique PC has been around for a few years now and is still going strong. Once again there are enthusiast of all levels who participate here and almost always someone willing to critique your work.

Nature Photographers Online Magazine Just what it says. It's full of great articles by a diverse group of contributors. Also includes a broad ranging list of photo links, including reader sites. There is also a terrific readers forum with a broad range of topics, including image posting forums frequented by first rate nature photographers.

Apogee Photo Magazine Another online magazine that is quite substantial in content.  Check it out for yourself.

Kodak eMagazine This online magazine from the venerable film manufacturer seems to be full of useful info

Vivid Light Photography Lots of good articles here, including columns by Moose Peterson and Lennie Lee Rue III

The Luminous Landscape A great resource for all kinds of photographic info. Michael Reichmann  is the publisher and the primary contributor.  The site is full of great photo travel articles, equipment reviews, Photoshop tutorials, etc. It's focus is on Landscape photography and as such, most articles are geared toward that aspect of the craft. 

Computer Darkroom Ian Lyon's "web site devoted to the art and technique of  photography, and digital imaging." This is another great resource, especially for Photoshop info pertaining to color management and Epson photo printers.

Photograph America For the outdoor photographer traveling in the U.S. there's no better source of location info. There's some online information but the more substantial info is in the individual newsletters, available from an exhaustive list of back issues.
